What is Vaser High Definition?
Vaser High Definition is a more specialised fat removal and body sculpting Vaser Liposuction procedure that can be used on many parts of the body and is suitable for both men and women. This precise form of treatment targets only the superficial layer of fat that sits above the muscles, resulting in the exposure of a more refined and sculpted figure. The process uses unique ultrasound energy probes, which break down fat and enable it to be gently removed from the specified areas.
Vaser Hi Def is less invasive than other methods of liposuction, causing less damage to body tissue. This gentler, pioneering procedure reduces the amount of pain and bruising caused by the treatment and expedites the healing process.
Which areas can be treated with Vaser High Definition?
EF MEDISPA strives to provide the best Vaser Hi Def London has to offer, ensuring you receive the most bespoke surgical procedures. Due to its precise capabilities, Vaser Hi Definition can be used to remove fat from very specific areas. Patients often choose to target commonly stubborn areas such as the ‘mummy tummy’, ‘man boobs’ or ‘love handles’, but the treatment can also help to sculpt legs, hips and buttocks. Please keep in mind that the areas that fat can be removed from are unique to each patient and is something that should be discussed with your Treatment Coordinator.
Vaser High Definition for WomenMany women choose Vaser High Definition to beat stubborn areas of fat build up that diet and exercise alone have failed to combat. Whether you wish to regain a shapely waistline or remove fat from your buttocks, Vaser Hi Def can be a suitable solution.
Vaser High Definition for MenMany men wish to address specific problem areas such as love handles, stomach and chest (often referred to as man boobs). Vaser High Definition in our London clinics provides a solution that enables male patients to have superficial fat removed from specific parts of their body, using a cutting-edge liposuction procedure.
What happens during the procedure?
The procedure is carried out in one of our EF MEDISPA London clinics by one of our highly experienced Surgeons and usually lasts from 3 to 4 hours depending the areas you would like to treat. Vaser High Definition in London is performed under conscious sedation, reducing recovery time and eliminating the need for an overnight stay.
Firstly, your Doctor will make a small incision into the area from where the fat is to be removed. A small probe will then be inserted to safely transmit ultrasound energy waves to break down the fat and a gentle suction is used to remove it from the treated areas.
The result – excess fat removed precisely from your problem area helping you to achieve a more sculpted appearance.
How long is the recovery time?
Because Vaser High Definition does not require a general anaesthesia or overnight stay, downtime is minimal. Depending on your health, lifestyle and treated areas you should be able to return to work in approximately 4 – 7 days following. Each case is individual, but 3 – 14 days recovery is expected.
EF MEDISPA recommends that you rest for at least 12 hours following your treatment. You will need to wear a ‘compression garment’ around the treated area following the procedure. This not only aids the healing process and improves results, but it also prevents pockets of fluid from forming and offers you added comfort and support. The length of time you are required to wear the compression garment depends on the individual patient and area treated.
Our highly experienced medical team will explain recovery and aftercare in detail during your initial consultation to make sure you are fully informed before you decide to proceed with the surgery.
We will make sure to book your review appointments and aftercare treatment plan before the procedure to monitor your progress closely. Your Treatment Coordinator will devise the perfect bespoke aftercare plan to enhance your body’s healing process and help you to achieve maximum results.

Step by Step Vaser Hi Definition
1 NO OBLIGATION CONSULTATION
Initially, you will have a consultation with one of our friendly and highly experienced Treatment Coordinators. During that first consultation you will discuss your full medical history and talk about the procedure in depth. Before you leave the Treatment Coordinator’s office your appointment with the Doctor will be booked.
2 MEET YOUR PRACTITIONER
Should you decide to proceed with Vaser Hi Def you will then meet with one of our EF MEDISPA Vaser Surgeons. The Doctor will assess your medical history and talk to you about your expectations, fears and concerns. He will be the one to determine whether you are suited to the procedure and determine the duration and downtime.
3 BEFORE THE PROCEDURE
On the day of your surgery you will have the change to meet with your Doctor before the surgery. During that final meeting you will get answers to all of your last minute questions and your final consent will again be asked in order to proceed. After that you will meet the nursing team and the anaesthetist who will be responsible to make the procedure as comfortable as possible.
4 DURING THE PROCEDURE
Vaser Lipo Hi Def is performed under conscious sedation. The area to be treated is numbed with a tailored saline solution which also shrinks the blood vessels. This helps to prevent bruising and blood loss, while getting the fat tissue primed to be emulsified by the ultrasound energy. The ultrasound energy is then applied using a small probe that is inserted into the fatty tissue, to break it up. A gentle suction is then used to get rid of the emulsified fat from the body.
5 AFTER THE PROCEDURE
When the procedure is over, the Nurses will fit you into a support garment and the Doctor will provide you with pain killers and antibiotics. Procedures carried out at EF MEDISPA are walk-in walk-out daytime surgery, which does not require an overnight stay. Before you leave the clinic a review appointment will be booked with the Doctor who will be there to access your recovery and monitor your progress.
At EF MEDISPA aftercare plays a significant role not only for fast recovery but also to ensure optimum results. Therefore, after the procedure, we offer a bespoke package of aftercare treatments where the patient will have the chance to have ultrasound, manual and electro lymphatic massages and other treatments designed to help the healing process.
You will be able to discuss the aftercare program from your first consultation with your treatment coordinator, as well as the Doctor and Nurses before and after the surgery.

Vaser Hi Definition FAQs
How does Vaser Lipo Hi Def work?
Vaser Hi Def is very similar to Vaser Liposuction. The selected area to be reshaped is filled with a saline solution numbing the area and shrinking the blood vessels, helping to reduce blood loss and bruising. This also makes it easier for the fatty tissue to be broken up by the ultrasound energy. A small probe is inserted into the selected area and ultrasound energy is used to break up fatty tissue while preserving other tissue. Finally, a gentle suction process is used to remove the liquefied fat whilst keeping damage to the surrounding tissue at a minimum.
How soon will I see my results?
Many have reported they can see results immediately after the procedure. However, the areas treated will swell and it may take up to 3-6 months to see the final result. You will be able to discuss expected results in detail expected during your consultations before the procedure as well as throughout the aftercare appointments with your Doctor.
How many aftercare courses will I need?
At EF MEDISPA we think aftercare is extremely important to ensure fast recovery and optimum results. Therefore, after Vaser Hi Def a course of 10 aftercare sessions is usually recommended, however, the exact number of sessions will be discussed with your Treatment Coordinator according to the results of your treatment.
