Our team will take your full medical history and explain the treatment process in full to determine the most effective laser hair removal treatment for your needs. Once you decide to go ahead with laser hair removal, another appointment will be arranged to discuss treatments and expectations in further detail..
Whether it is for a targeted area or full body laser hair removal, your skin will be prepped thoroughly upon arrival. The treatment will provide a warming sensation as the laser moves along the skin and targets the individual hair follicles underneath.
You may experience some redness of the skin after treatment, lasting no longer than 24 hours*. We advise avoiding direct sunlight and heat treatments within this time period, while wearing SPF on areas that cannot be covered up. This is especially important if you have undergone sensitive skin laser hair removal.
Laser light is applied to your skin on the areas you want to remove hair from. By targeting your hair follicles, the damage is caused to the base, disabling its ability to grow quickly in the future. After each treatment, you’ll notice a reduction in the amount of hair regrowing in that area. Once the full course of laser hair removal is completed, the hair will stop growing back completely.
After the first two sessions, you should notice significant hair reduction. However, everybody is different, and we recommend a full course of laser treatments to achieve optimum results.
We usually recommend a course of six laser hair removal treatments. Your Practitioner will assess the correct treatment plan and offer the best laser treatments for your individual needs.
Most patients remain hair free for months or even years. This will depend on your hair type, area, and number of treatments performed. To keep the area free of hair, a patient may need maintenance laser treatments.
Conditions vary from patient to patient, so are assessed on an individual basis. Most patients can have laser hair removal once every 4 to 6 weeks.
