Profhilo differs from other injectable treatments – It is a biostimulator that uses the natural power of Hyaluronic Acid (HA) to nourish dermal cells. Results are gradual and long-lasting, with the HA working to hydrate and stimulate tissue for up to 6 months after treatment. It offers a quick and effective procedure time, taking only 30 minutes.

Treatment can be carried out on the face, neck, décolletage and on the body. Following treatment skin is left lifted, tightened and rejuvenated and the benefits to your skin will continue for 4-6 months.

Your Treatment Coordinator will first establish your goals and preferences before creating a bespoke treatment plan to help address your concerns. If you choose to proceed with a Profhilo Treatment you will meet with our fully-qualified Doctor or Nurse who will carry out your treatment. This will give you an opportunity to ask any additional questions during your appointment and our medical team will always be on hand to help and support you at all times.

Your Doctor or Nurse will take a full medical history before deciding how best to proceed. In rare circumstances, a topical anaesthetic cream is applied to the area to minimise discomfort if required. The treatment itself involves a series of Hyaluronic Acid (HA) injections, containing a hybrid of 32mg high molecular weight and 32mg low molecular weight HA, using a very fine needle. The procedure itself takes up to 30 minutes and results will begin to appear visible shortly after treatment. For effective results, we recommend 2 treatments of Profhilo, 3-6 weeks apart. Thereafter, we recommend that treatment is repeated every 4-6 months in order to maintain results. Improvements to the appearance of the skin will continue after each treatment for up to 6 months.

Profhilo, as with other injectable treatments, is not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding. We are also unable to perform this treatment on individuals with medical conditions that lower the body’s immune response or individuals undergoing therapy that is immunosuppressive.

Following the treatment small raised lumps may appear, which will subside within 24-48 hours. Patients are encouraged to go about their normal day-to-day activities following their treatment, but the following guidance must be adhered to:

• No other cosmetic procedures for at least 2 days after treatment
• No makeup to be applied to the treated area for at least 12 hours after treatment
• No swimming for at least 48 hours after treatment
• No strenuous exercise for at least 24 hours after treatment
• Extreme temperatures (hot or cold) must be avoided for at least 7 days after treatment
