What is Dermapen Treatment?

Dermapen treatment is becoming a popular alternative to cosmetic surgery due to its effective results on the quality of your skin. From the reduction of fine lines and wrinkles, sagging skin, stretch marks and acne scaring, we tailor our Dermapen treatments to suit each individual and their skin goals.

All of our Dermapen treatments vary from person to person but the procedure follows a similar process. We use 12 disposable microscopic needles which are attached to a handheld device and gently puncture the skin, causing minute traumas on its surface.

The skin reacts by naturally releasing healing collagen and elastin to repair itself. This production of collagen and elastin work to tighten, smooth and firm the skin for an all-round improved appearance. We will apply a numbing cream prior to your Dermapen treatment, ensuring discomfort is kept to a minimum. The length of the needle is adjustable dependant on the type of Dermapen facial you choose, providing results personalised to your unique concern.

Outstanding Dermapen microneedling results

Following treatment, results are often visible almost immediately. But we recommend a course of 4 to 6 sessions for optimum results. Following a Dermapen facial, you can expect some mild redness and inflammation for a couple of days but generally, there is no downtime following this procedure.

Being a less invasive solution than many other treatments, you will be able to get back to daily life straight away and wear mineral makeup if you wish to cover any redness.

Treatment

A topical anaesthetic cream will be applied to ensure comfort throughout the procedure. Once the skin has numbed, your practitioner will gently move the Dermapen over your skin to puncture the epidermal layer and create very minor, minuscule traumas. These microscopic injuries can help to stimulate the production of new collagen and elastin, encouraging the skin to renew itself.
After treatment

Following your procedure, your therapist will recommend the appropriate homecare for you. After the treatment, you may experience slight redness that will soon subside, and you can shortly resume day to day activities.
