Fat Transfer

Fat Transfer London

Fat Transfer is used to restore subtle volume and fat to the body. Fat is removed from an area of  your body and transferred to other areas of the body where you desire volume. If you're looking for more natural and subtle result, Fat Transfer could be the solution for you.

Fat Transfer uses Vaser Liposuction to remove fat from one area of the body – such as your thighs, or stomach – and put it back into your breasts or buttocks. It uses your own body fat, so it’s a more natural alternative to implants or fillers.

Fat Transfer can be used to add a cup size or two to the breasts and can be used to even up lopsided breasts. One of the main benefits of a Fat Transfer procedure is that it can be a very effective way of achieving long-lasting results towards the body you desire. The fat cells are purified before being injected back into you, there are no unnatural or foreign bodies used, and there is no need for more surgery later down the line – like replacing silicone implants. It’s a straightforward treatment with minimal downtime, performed by one of our highly experienced surgeons in our London clinics, and there’s no need for a general anaesthetic.

Step By Step Fat Transfer

The first step is a NO OBLIGATION CONSULTATION with one of our highly experienced treatment coordinators. During this initial consultation your full medical history will be taken and you will be able to discuss the procedure in detail. After that an appointment with one of our EF MEDISPA doctors will be booked.

Moving on to the next step, if you decide to proceed with Fat Transfer you will meet one of our highly experienced surgeons and will have plenty of time to talk about the procedure, including which areas you want to accentuate and the results you want to achieve. The doctor will be the one to review your medical history, assess whether you are suitable for this type of procedure and give you an image of the expected results as well as time duration and downtime, according to the areas that need to be treated.  During that consultation you would be able to ask all medical questions you may have and discuss all any concerns and fears.

Should you decide to proceed you will meet with the doctor once again on the day of the surgery to discuss any last minute questions you may have and give your final consent. Before the surgery you will meet the nursing team and the anaesthetist who is the person that will ensure that this procedure would be as comfortable as possible.

Fat Transfer at EF MEDISPA is performed under local anaesthetic or conscious sedation.  Firstly a small incision will be made in the area to be treated.  A small probe is then inserted which transmits ultrasound waves that will liquefy the fat.  The fat will then gently be sucked out and removed from the chosen by the doctor area of your body and then re-injected on the area you want to accentuate.

After the procedure, you will have the time to relax for a while in the recovery suite, the nurses will fit you into a support garment and the doctor will provide you with pain killers and antibiotics. Procedures carried out at EF MEDISPA are walk-in walk-out daytime surgery, which does not require an overnight stay.  Before you leave the clinic you will be booked for a review appointment with the doctor who will be there to access your recovery and monitor your progress.

At EF MEDISPA Aftercare plays a significant part not only on fast recovery but also to ensure the best possible results. Therefore, after the procedure, we offer a bespoke package of aftercare treatments where the patient will have the chance to have ultrasound, manual and electro lymphatic massages and other treatments designed to help the healing process.

You will be able to discuss the aftercare program from your first consultation with your treatment coordinator, as well as the doctor and nurses before and after the surgery.

Fat Transfer FAQs

How does it work?

This minimally invasive procedure works by using Vaser Liposuction to remove unwanted fat, say for example from the thighs. This fat is then injected into the breast and buttocks. As it uses your own body fat, it is a more natural process.

How much downtime will I need after the procedure?

Fat Transfer is usually performed under local anaesthetic rather than a general anaesthetic and will require no incisions or hospital stay. The doctor will advise you about down time and expected recovery time at your consultation.

Where will fat transfer procedure be carried out?

Fat Transfer to the breast and buttocks is carried out here at our award winning EF MEDISPA clinics. Our dedicated and highly qualified medical team will ensure your comfort throughout and our exemplary aftercare team offer clients a completely unparalleled service.
