How to tackle the ageing eye
The skin under your eyes is significantly thinner than other areas on your body. Years of laughter and emotion, lack of sleep, dark circles and even hereditary factors can have an enormous impact on your under-eye skin, causing bags and wrinkles, leading to visible signs of aging. We all try and test ways to reduce the fine lines and wrinkles around the eyes but sometimes it’s not enough. We have put together our recommended treatment options to tackle the ageing skin under the eye.
It’s natural for the area around your eyes to lose volume over the years due to stress and tiredness, making you look older. If you have dark circles, these can be treated by a simple, 30-minute tear trough treatment. This non-surgical treatment works by filling the hollow areas under your eyes with dermal filler that contains the body’s natural moisturiser, hyaluronic acid.
At EF MEDISPA we offer a range of different facials and peels to restore and rejuvenate the skin. We provide a unique treatment called The Eye And Lip Peel that aims to reduce the appearance of crows feet and pigmentation build up below the eye or on the eye lid. The treatment uses a gel-based skin remodelling solution built on Trichloroacetic (TCA) & Lactic acid. Other ingredients such as Acetyl Glucosamine are also in the solution for a firming and plumping effect.
Carboxy Therapy is an injectable treatment that uses carbon dioxide to increase the flow of oxygen and blood to the problem area, as seen below. The treatment triggers the body’s natural production of collagen and increases circulation, reducing the appearance of dark circles, softening the signs of ageing and leaving the skin feeling rejuvenated. Carboxy Therapy can also treat stretch marks and scarring.
Another option for an anti-ageing treatment is Anti-Wrinkle injectables around the side of the eyes. This treatment stops the facial muscles contacting by blocking the signal from the nerve, resulting in softer lines and smoother skin, creating a more youthful appearance.
