What is Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy (BHRT)?
Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy (BHRT) can be a great solution for those suffering from hormone imbalances and fluctuations. This breakthrough and bespoke therapy is often used to help reduce symptoms caused by menopause, andropause, premenstrual syndrome, polycystic ovaries, acne and other hormone related conditions. BHRT is completely unique and is very different from conventional Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT). Traditional HRT provides replacement hormones that are not identical in molecular structure to those that women produce naturally. Whereas bioidentical hormones perfectly match and replicate the structure of human hormones, therefore making Bioidentical Hormone Therapy a more effective solution with less side effects and improved results. In order to establish the exact hormone levels that your body needs to be replaced, BHRT patients receive regular tests to assess their existing hormone levels helping to achieve a more accurate and personalised prescription. This bespoke approach works to regulate and maintain healthy hormone levels.
All treatments are tailored to the individual and personal experiences and results may vary. We recommend a one to one consultation with our Treatment Coordinators to discuss your treatment options.
WHICH TYPES OF CONCERNS CAN BHRT ADDRESS?
A hormone imbalance, whether caused by menopause, andropause, premenstrual syndrome or polycystic ovaries can affect the body in many ways resulting in distressing symptoms such as hot flushes, night sweats, mood changes, lack of concentration, loss of libido, insomnia, headaches, reduced energy levels and more. Bioidentical Hormone Therapy offers a more natural way to manage these symptoms, helping patients to enjoy a healthier, more balanced lifestyle.

Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy FAQs
How are bioidentical hormones different?
The conventional hormone replacement therapies utilise hormones that do not have identical molecular structure to those produced in our bodies, therefore could be considered foreign and might trigger unwanted side effects. Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy uses plant-derived hormones that have identical chemical structure to help rebalance your system.
How long do I need to stay on bioidentical hormones?
The exact amount of time you will need to be following the supplementation treatment may differ depending on the age, lifestyle and symptoms of each patient. Your Doctor will follow your progress to assess the right amount of time you will need.
What do I have to do regarding the blood test?
If you have previous recent blood test results, please bring them along on your appointment with the doctor so that they can assess and proceed with the next steps. However, if you do not have any recent blood test results your Doctor will ask you to book yourself in for an appointment with a blood test clinic and then arrange another appointment for you to go through your results.
How long does it take to notice a difference?
The time it takes for people to start noticing a difference after their Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy may vary according to each patient, however, people usually tend to notice difference within the first 3 – 8 weeks.
