The peel uses a potent combination of active ingredients, such as Kojic and Azelaic Acid, for a powerful skin-brightening effect. These work synergistically to reduce melanin production, promote cell renewal, and kill bacteria. As a result, discoloration is visibly reduced and the skin tone appears unified.
1. In-clinic prep & treatment
In addition to at-home preparation 2-4 weeks before receiving treatment, the skin is prepped with a deep cleanse followed by peel application. This is left on for 8-12 hours until completely dry, then removed with water.
2. At-home aftercare
As the skin begins to peel post-treatment, common side effects include redness, swelling, shedding and dryness, which are signs that the wound healing process has begun. As this occurs, collagen and red and white blood cell count is boosted within the area, which minimises pigmentation and evens the skin tone. It is crucial to maintain a strict skincare routine during this time, otherwise this can hinder the healing process. SPF50+ and Cosmelan 2 must be applied everyday to avoid new pigmentation emergence. Our therapists will provide a more detailed guide on your skincare regime and what to do and what not to do post-procedure.
