The Cosmelan Peel at EF MEDISPA

Being exposed to the sun and UVA rays over the years can have a significant effect on our skin and complexion, most of us don’t realise the impact it has until it’s too late. As we age, we produce dark spots known as pigmentation, stimulated by UVA rays. These sun spots can take up to 10 – 20 years to develop, so although you may not see the effects of sun exposure now, the results will be visible later.

At EF MEDISPA we offer a depigmentation peel called the Cosmelan Peel. This chemical peel targets uneven skin tone, hyperpigmentation and discolouration caused by hormones, ageing or sun damage. Once the skin is cleansed, the peel is applied to lighten the complexion. The peel works by blocking the process that cases hyperpigmentation, removing dark spots and blotchy skin. After the treatment the peel will work to shed the dead skin cells, in turn giving you a new and healthy-looking complexion.

The peel can be done throughout the year and is compatible with all skin complexion. Post treatment, the results allow sun exposure without the risk of dark spots appearing. You can expect to see an improvement in your skin and complexion after a week following the peel with full results visible between 3-6 weeks post treatment.
