At EF MEDISPA you can opt to have this procedure as a simple walk-in and walk-out Day Surgery. Blepharoplasty is a popular procedure with men, seeking to look less tired and wishing to take a few years off their appearance. Cosmetic eyeline surgery - blepharoplasty for men Many men find as they get older the elasticity in the skin around the eyes wanes. They develop crepey, saggy excess skin that droops over or under the eyes. The muscles around the eyes also weaken and bulge, giving the appearance of baggy eyes. This can add to the appearance of deep wrinkles and can be extremely ageing. However it is not always age related, over exposure to the sun can also damage the skin around the eyes. Stress, or an unhealthy lifestyle can also be contributing factors. Our renowned highly skilled plastic Surgeons here at EF MEDISPA can remove this excess skin and fat, with a simple procedure that can be carried out under a local anaesthetic. This fast solution can make an immense difference and can give you a much more youthful appearance. The very latest method of blepharoplasty is the transconjunctival procedure, which can successfully remove the fatty deposits underneath the eyes. It can effectively remove the puffiness, but does not change the appearance of fine lines or excess skin. This scar-free procedure is performed inside the eyelash line, meaning that there is no need for an outward incision or any sutures. The procedure is carried out under local anaesthetic so there is no need for an overnight stay. The healing process is much quicker than it is with more invasive treatments, and there is minimal downtime. Traditional blepharoplasty For those hoping to remove drooping upper eyelids, puffy eye bags and excess skin around the eyes, the traditional blepharoplasty procedure is also available. This procedure is performed on both the upper and lower lids. One of our dedicated, experienced and highly skilled Surgeons will make tiny incisions along the lower lash line to remove the excess fatty deposits and take away any excess folds of skin. On the upper lids an incision is made along the crease of the eye, so again there is minimal and completely undetectable scarring.* Book a free no obligation consultation with one of our friendly and dedicated Patient Co-Ordinators who will assess and advise you.
