Facial Rejuvenation with Platelet Rich Plasma
As we age, our skin produces less collagen and eventually loses its elasticity and youthful appearance. The revolutionary Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) therapy harnesses the existing power of your own body to help healing and improving the look and feel of your skin.
The platelets in our blood are the little soldiers responsible for healing any damage to our skin. They have an ability to stimulate cell growth and regenerate tissue which, when used in PRP, can also help to promote the collagen in your skin to grow.
First, a small amount of blood is drawn from your arm and spun in a centrifuge until the red blood cells separate from the platelets and plasma. The platelet-rich plasma is then injected back into your troublesome areas to help soften, smooth and tighten your skin.
Your procedure should take no longer than 90 minutes, and will be performed by one of our experienced medical practitioners. You may start to notice a significant difference in the texture and tone of your skin in just a few weeks, as your skin begins to start producing more collagen.
All treatments are tailored to the individual and personal experiences and results may vary. We recommend a one to one consultation with our treatment co-ordinators to discuss your treatment options.

Step by Step PRP
1 NO OBLIGATION CONSULTATION
Your first step is a NO OBLIGATION consultation with one of EF MEDISPA’ s expert team who are trained to provide you with detailed information on the procedure involved in PRP Therapy. After taking a full medical history, your adviser will be able to suggest what type of procedure is most suitable for you. Your appointment will then be booked with your EF MEDISPA medical practitioner.
2 MEET YOUR PRACTITIONER
When you meet your practitioner you will have the opportunity to discuss the treatment process thoroughly and the results you are looking to achieve prior to treatment. Our PRP procedures are carried out by our highly trained medical professionals.
If you decide to proceed with the procedure you will be examined by your practitioner to establish where to administer treatment for the best results. If anaesthetic cream is necessary this will be applied. A small amount of blood will be drawn from your arm and inserted into our state of the art concentration system to separate the human growth factors. The growth factors will then be injected into areas of concern as outlined in your examination. The treatment will take between 30-90 minutes depending the treated area.
How does it work?
PRP Therapy at EF MEDISPA utilises one of the most advanced machines. This unique technology has the ability to split the elements of the blood, separating the potent human growth factors from the plasma and platelets.
First a small amount of blood is taken by a member of EF MEDISPA’s highly trained medical team. Then your blood is prepared in a state of the art concentration system by spinning it at incredibly high speeds and separating the blood into three factors – human growth factors, plasma and platelets. Your human growth factors are then injected back into your face helping to boost collagen production and rejuvenate your skin.
Is it safe?
As PRP utilises your own blood there is no risk of allergic reaction and it does not create a foreign-body immunologic reaction.
How long does the treatment take?
Treatment can take up to 90 minutes.
Is there any downtime?
You can resume with normal activity straight after having PRP Therapy.
