Skin Repair with Dermaroller
We often take our skin’s healing powers for granted. As a child we expect it to heal our grazed knees and bumped elbows, and as an adult we put it through sun damage, growth spurts, and even childbirth - and it still manages to hold itself together. The Dermaroller harnesses the skin’s unique healing qualities, and uses them to help treat various body concerns such as stretch marks, scars and tightening loose skin.
The Dermaroller uses tiny needles infused with a specific serum which is then precisely rolled over the problem area of the body. The needles delicately penetrate the skin deep enough to deliver the hydrating serum. This process activates the skins healing process allowing for it to heal itself; rebuilding the collagen in the area and encouraging the skin to reproduce new skin cells.
To enjoy the best results possible from Dermaroller, it’s recommended that you book a course of treatments, but your schedule will be determined around your specific needs, established during your first consultation. Although no downtime is required, you may experience redness, as though you’ve got a slight case of sunburn afterwards, so you may prefer not to go straight back to work. You should see an immediate improvement following your first Derma Roller treatment, which will get better and better over the next few weeks. Plus, you’ll have a whole new appreciation for your skin’s incredible abilities!
All treatments are tailored to the individual and personal experiences and results may vary. We recommend a one to one consultation with our treatment co-ordinators to discuss your treatment options.

Step by Step Derma Roller
1 NO OBLIGATORY CONSULTATION
Firstly, you need to book a complimentary consultation with one of our highly experienced EF MEDISPA Treatment Coordinators. Your full medical history will be taken and the treatment will be explained thoroughly. If you decide to proceed with Derma Roller your appointment with one of our practitioners will be organised for you.
2 MEET YOUR PRACTITIONER
During your first appointment, your practitioner will examine the areas of concern on your body and discuss the treatment in more detail. This will be your chance to have all of your questions answered and talk about expected results.
3 DURING THE TREATMENT
Derma Roller is a non-invasive treatment with no need for anaesthetic or downtime, however anaesthetic cream can be used upon request. Your therapist will use a sterile, single-use medical device to deliver micro-injections infused with a specific hydrating serum. This technique encourages your skin to rejuvenate itself, building up new collagen and reproducing new cells. The treatment can last up to 75 minutes depending on the areas you want to treat. Your practitioner is the one that will determine the exact duration.
4 AFTER THE TREATMENT
Dermaroller has minimal downtime up to 5 days depending the intensity of the treatment. Your practitioner will assess the number of treatments you require for optimum results, but usually we recommend 6 treatments of each therapy.
